Feifei Wang"s answer to Discrimination: What are your thoughts on Chinese women who were discriminated on the Virgin flight from UK to China?
P.S. (Richard Branson writes a heartfelt letter after Virgin airline staffers were accused of racism),但是讀者們不傻,還是分得清是非的。
Virgin Atlantic feels pressure of Chinese social media following racist incident
Blog(Social media and understanding all sides of the story),真的是更加憤慨,通篇是在想方設法迴避中國乘客受到疑似種族主義攻擊,以及Virgin 空乘可能的偏袒白人,歧視事件中的中國乘客。
Delta completes acquistion of 49% Virgin Atlantic stake, announces codeshare and FFP agreement Norwegian"s transatlantic flights from Gatwick in 2014 will represent less than 1% of UK-US capacity Virgin Atlantic https://next.ft.com/content/aab18446-c681-11e4-a13d-00144feab7de http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/gb/en/destinations/route-map.html
Pamela Pointer barred from boarding Virgin Atlantic flight after Disney World trip
Aboriginal man "was racially discriminated against" on Virgin Australia flight
Virgin Galactic bans Chinese nationals from space flights over espionage fears

Enjoy your reading. Social media and understanding all sides of the story Richard Branson 這個自戀自拍狂魔,不僅在所有相關聲援報道中配圖自己的各種大頭藝術照,還寫出了這麼一篇所謂all sides of the sotry的文章。

"The young lady took a flight Virgin Atlantic VS250 from London to Shanghai on March 1st, 2016. The insult occurred when she just boarded on the plane and was looking for her earphone under her seat. A Caucasian male who is about fifty years old, all the sudden stood up from seat 64 C and approached her; then he pointed at her and started to yell at her viciously: 「You f*cking Chinese pig. Get the f*ck of here.」 She was shocked first and then felt angry, and inquired:」 what did u say to me?」 The old man repeated his words. At this time, she tried to turn to the crew for help while the man kept abusing her with F words. During the time, there was a couple trying to stop him however was even threatened by him. Soon after, a male crew came over and talked with that old guy and then came to the young lady, asking her to stop arguing with the old man otherwise she would be expelled.
She explained to the crew that it was that old man who started insulting her and he should apologize but the crew completely ignored what she said. When the couple told the crew what happened, the crew came over to tell the lady that he would later try to move the old man to another section while he added that the old man seemed to have mental problems.
Almost after 30mins, there was no further action and that old man was still there. The young lady tried to ask any crew members when a Chinese female crew came over and told her better not to continue because she might be expelled according to that male crew』s words.
Thus, this young lady who got no help from the crew, was in fear for further possible insult or threat from that guy, suffering as much as 11 hours on the plane, as well as being angry that how this well-known international airline can behave like this. When she finally got off the plane, she asked many times about the male crew』s real name and he is called 「Nathan Smith」(注意並不一定真實,請不要隨意人肉), according to his colleagues."

【This connects 『the situation that needs to be appeased』 with HER conduct: 「the

【This paragraph is preceded by paragraphs depicting this lady"s conduct; it
implies the crew was operating—in part—in order to manage her behavior.
There is little to no mention of how the crew』s duty of care was executed in

「we』re assisting Ms. Liu with vital time-lining and faithful expression of the events comprising of her regrettable experience on Virgin Atlantic flight VS250 from London to Shanghai on March 1st, 2016.
Ms. Liu』s absolute priority is to identify and accurately represent critical factual details surrounding this case, in order to make them available to senior Virgin Atlantic personnel.
Given Virgin Atlantic』s unique brand and reputation for inclusivity, Ms. Liu feels compelled to clearly highlight the unsavory—and absolutely unacceptable—racism she faced on flight VS250, along with the dismal conduct of particular Virgin staff in response to the incident. Ms. Liu does not feel that Virgin Atlantic executed the duty of care it owed her and her fellow passengers.
It is Ms. Liu』s urgent belief that no passenger—of any color or creed—should suffer similar humiliations on the land, on the sea or in the sky. She is nonetheless confident that Virgin Atlantic will take swift and decisive measures in response to her intolerable experience. We are delighted to assist Ms. Liu in the preparation of a conscientious record in these regards.」
其最新推特「Reiterate all at Virgin take a zero tolerance approach to racism equally to discrimination due to a disability」 殺人誅心啊,已經開始倒打一耙暗指那個white trash受到殘疾歧視。
Nice PR reactions but still useless to cover what VA has done for conceal their racialism: I have been seeing their side using methods to delete those tweets published by journalists or other high exposure users in Twitter. His replies and apologies are never sincere but flicker the patience of Chinese. Want to know the real reactions from the audience? Never ever ever choose Virgin Atlantic! And this leader is a narcissism selfie addict: I see only his personal exquisite photo in relative publications since yesterday... It is not a show time bro! Before you play your SNS techniques, think back for what happened! Release the results of investigations!
UnfortunatelyI cannot disclose any medical conditions that this passenger may have.(翻譯:抱歉的是我不能公開那位乘客的疾病狀況。
We do take situations like this most seriously and I"m very grateful to you for letting us know what happened. This really does sound like an incredibly upsetting situation for you and I want to assure you that we have investigated this thoroughly with our crew managers.(翻譯:我們是很嚴肅的對待這件事的,很感謝你讓我們了解事情的經過。
It"s very disappointing that one of our other customers spoke to you in such a disrespectful manner. I appreciate how shocking this must have been for you andI understand the distress this no doubt caused. We do hope that our customer swill be respectful to their fellow passengers and it"s very upsetting that thiswas not the case.(翻譯:令人失望的是我們的乘客對你做出了不恭敬的言論。
I understand that Nathan agreed to move the other passenger, however unfortunately there were no seats available further up the cabin and he therefore remained in his original seat.(翻譯:我理解Nathan同意去調換那個乘客的位置,但是不走運的是前面沒有空位了,所以他一直還留在他的座位上。)
Sounds like rubbish social media hysteria. They seem to be taking this serious, and issued believable statements (they are investigating, and proclaim to be "...a multinational company with zero tolerance of racism", and they are supposedly in contact with the passenger.)
What more could they be doing right now, exactly? Comments on Virgin Atlantic"s FB page are very amusing to read at the moment lol
For me this incident has highlighted several quite disturbing, and possibly global, social trends; the fact that in the plane (although sparsely occupied) only 2 onlookers offered support to deescalate, or balance the situation; the level of virulence and incitement whipped up and in hand the amount of media interest garnered by such an account of an incident of such minor magnitude.
An absolutely objective account is impossible to realise, which is why I have decided to post my account of the incident; although it will be different to everybody else』s, and will probably be different to what I actually observed (as is the nature of human memory); I was a close up witness and feel the need to contribute my version of events to help give anybody who is interested in the event a better picture and to also allow them to think about the evidence and subjectivity of such accounts and what conclusions they themselves should be willing to make based on these.
Before take-off. The lady moved back a few rows, just as an announcement was made that for take-off people should stick to their allocated seats. She was told to move back by the man and after a brief exchange was sworn at in an aggressive but quite covert way; he moved close towards her threateningly. No airline staff were nearby to witness. The lady reacted fairly; apparent shock and anger. The man then essentially baited her to repeat what he had said (『oh really, what did I say then?』), whilst she was angered, and he allowed himself to appear composed, if not clearly amused. At this point the staff arrived, the lady was caught angrily swearing and urged to move away. This unfair interpretation by the authorities could have only increased the women』s distress and she tried to explain the situation but again in doing so ended up swearing quite loudly. There were young children around and this was the immediate situation that the airline crew had to deal with. At about the time the crew arrived to the scene the two passengers also stepped in and attempted to explain what had happened, in defence of the lady, aware of the misdirection by the man. The man then threatened one of the passengers, although this did not stop him from attempting to intervene, and as I understand he apologised to him (but not the lady) afterwards for his regretful behaviour.
如果是我面對這個人,我會回復「You eat with that mouth? Wise up! 我用法語回答「Sachant que les fraises fran?aises sont plus petites mais aussi plus chères et plus sucrées que les fraises espagnoles, de même, mon petit canon asiatique est capable de fonctionner avec plus longtemps et plus de dureté, voulez-vous essayer?(這句用潛台詞就是va te faire enculer!)」/"Known that the French strawberries are smaller but also more expensive and sweeter than the Spanish strawberries, in the same way, my petit asian canon could fuction more time and harder, would you like to have a try?"(應評論區要求,現在加上中文版本。 或者說」C『est parce que ta mère/s?ur/copine m"a dit hier soir."(因為你媽/你姐、你女友昨晚這麼給我說的)。 3.
