不死生物（G側）有沒有可能成為驅魔師或類似職業？

如題，不一定是驅魔師，還有類似風格的職業

問題帶dd的tag，就我所知的最接近「驅魔師」的職業是3r cd的sacred exorcist。以下討論以假設指的是這個為前提。

首先看先決：

REQUIREMENTS

To qualify to become a sacred exorcist, a character must fulfi ll all the following criteria.

Alignment: Any good.

Skills: Knowledge (the planes) 10 ranks, Knowledge (religion) 7 ranks.

Spells: Able to cast dismissal or dispel evil.

Special: Adopting this prestige class requires the sanction of a church or order that ordains sacred exorcists. Only characters judged by their church to be exemplary in faith and devotion, strong of will and upright in morality, are made sacred exorcists.

另一個回答提到了關於怪物與角色/人物（character）的問題，那就先從這裡開始談起。對於3r來說，人怪一體（玩家角色和怪物用同一套規則構建）是一項規則特性。（當然，那個回答說的是5e那就是另一回事了

首先phb有言：

character: A fictional individual within the confines of a fantasy game setting. The words 「character」 and 「creature」 are often used synonymously within these rules, since almost any creature could be a character within the game, and every character is a creature (as opposed to an object).

角色和生物規則意義上基本上是同義詞。

然後，怪物包括了除了人類之外的一切生物：甚至phb種族除了人類之外都一律都列在mm中。如果說因為精靈是個怪物所以不能成為冒險者那顯然是荒謬的。。。（子虛老爺別打我

然後說回驅魔師的先決，除了陣營要求以及最後一項之外，其他都能通過職業滿足。最後一項背景限制不討論，規則意義上剩下的只有一個問題：有沒有善良的ud。

對於怪物的陣營一項，mm是這樣說的：

Alignment: This line in a monster entry gives the alignment that the creature is most likely to have. Every entry includes a qualifier that indicates how broadly that alignment applies to all monsters of that kind.

Always: The creature is born with the indicated alignment. The creature may have a hereditary predisposition to the alignment or come from a plane that predetermines it. It is possible for individuals to change alignment, but such individuals are either unique

or rare exceptions.

Usually: The majority (more than 50%) of these creatures have the given alignment. This may be due to strong cultural influences, or it may be a legacy of the creatures』 origin. For example, most elves inherited their chaotic good alignment from their creator, the deity Corellon Larethian.

Often: The creature tends toward the given alignment, either by nature or nurture, but not strongly. A plurality (40–50%) of individuals have the given alignment, but exceptions are common.

ud的陣營一欄寫的Usually某種邪惡的有不少，舉個例子來說，木乃伊是Usually lawful evil（lm給木乃伊加了la，可以作為玩家角色了），更有幽魂直接是Any。

lm的木乃伊怪物職業條目的陣營一欄直接說了：

Alignment: Mummies are usually lawful evil, but exceptions to this alignment are much more common than for most undead creatures. In fact, of all the undead monster races presented here, the mummy is perhaps the most likely to follow the path of good. Most retain their lawful tendency, as befi ts their typical role as guardians.

善良的木乃伊在ud中特別多。

那麼，規則意義上善良的ud成為驅魔師已經沒有問題了。接下來，規則之外的，比如冒險的理由、成為驅魔師的合理性之類的問題，不僅僅是對於ud，哪怕是人類沒有合理的理由就成了冒險者同樣很奇怪。恰好lm的木乃伊怪物職業條目的冒險一欄也給出了例子：

Adventures: What could bring a mummy to abandon its eternal vigilance and take up the career of a traveling adventurer? Some are seekers of vengeance, pursuing grave robbers or desecrators of the dead. Others have memories of their lives long past, in which they performed feats of daring or heroism. Alternatively, this creature of the dead might seek to end its years of service to uncaring powers, and perhaps even long to

pursue a more noble calling.

排除掉幾個和驅魔師的畫風不大兼容的，剩下的比如懷念往日偉業而重操舊業，為了擺脫為某種力量效命，因為受到感召什麼的就不錯。

另外，對於問題的不僅限於驅魔師而包括類似的職業的話，注意到，cd的驅魔Exorcism是驅除附體這樣一種能力，boed的Exorcism一節也是說同樣的事情，並不意味著就要消滅ud了，同樣不衝突。哪怕範圍放得更大一些，比如找ud麻煩的那些職業來說，同樣也可以解釋，比如說死後成了ud不得安息因此想在被摧毀前讓更多的ud安息什麼的。你看，身為吸血鬼的吸血鬼獵人這樣的設定不光常見而且都爛大街了。。。

因此，回到問題，有沒有可能，當然是有可能的。規則上完全沒有問題，至於合理性就看創造這角色的人了。

魅魔聖武士，吸血鬼武僧，天使黑衛，高精靈妓女

首先……能驅魔的都是驅魔師……根據文化不同會不會施法的職業都有可能……比如某時期用REDGUARD/LITTLEREDBOOK驅魔趕鬼也是很正常的。

DND說的中世紀，這個一般是神職人員負責，根據文化不同可能是cleric，shaman，druid，monk等等不一而足。

不死生物是怪物……無論它幹什麼，它都是怪物……

不死生物只是被黑暗魔法或者不潔詛咒帶回世間的一具殘破的軀殼或者一縷遊魂或者兩者的結合罷了……成為XX什麼的是想多了……強如吸血鬼能抓住自己的一線之明不變成野獸就不錯了

生前是個驅魔師或者創造它的人造它的目的是要它去驅魔……那是可能的。畢竟undead和demon也未必是一家的。比如魔獸世界中黑鴉堡壘的幽靈們就是生前對抗惡魔戰死又被惡魔復活以為冒險者是惡魔來打冒險者最後發現了真相有幫助冒險者打惡魔這樣。

所以……冒險者們在一處廢墟中間發現一個不死生物正在強行給某個落難的女士驅魔……那是不錯的劇情；其中有個冒險者跳出來說我要變成不死生物還要當驅魔師……那很奇怪。
