我們來學習一下2分20秒的這一句:
What do you mean? For your birthday gifts?

這一句很多童鞋會聽不出birthday gifts, 根據後邊的only, a couple of things, 想一想小孩子要做個list, 貧困的父親擔心小孩子會列出太多東西, 那會是什麼list呢?

這裡沒有連讀弱讀或省音, 不光birthday中的day沒有省, gifts中的每一個輔音都在. 我們讀這樣的單詞就很容易丟輔音, 可以自己讀幾遍試試.

如果這裡用of, 語法是對的. 但如果of的話會這麼說

-Im making a list. -a list of what?

不會說of your birthday gifts?
