《和合本》：愛子是那不能看見之神的像，是首生的，在一切被造的以先，
問題何在
《新世界》把「一切被造的以先」篡改為「受造的萬物中」，刪除「一切」。
篡改原因
原因：把耶穌降低為「受造」之一，不過是受造的頭一個。聖經卻說，耶穌是在「一切被造以先」，所以 不可能是受造之物。（英語《NWT》似乎翻譯對了，但請繼續看歌羅西書1：16-17。）

「ktisis」（ktis，SN：2937）就是被造物之意。
在此之前有「pas 」（pas， SN：3956），它的意思是：每一個、所有、全部。也就是「一切」之意。

《呂振中》：他是人不能見的上帝之像，是首先者超越一切被創造者；
《NASB》： He is theimage of theinvisible God, thefirstborn of all creation.
《KJV》： Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
《NIV》：for a time is comingwhen all who are in their graves will hear his voice
上邊的翻譯本，都有「一切」這個字。就是沒有把耶穌包括在受造物之中。

《新世界》 ： 因為天上的、地上的，能見的、不能見的，無論是在位的、統治的、執政的、當權的，全都是藉著他而創造的。其餘的萬物都是藉著他、為了他而創造出來的。 他比其餘的萬物先存在，其餘的萬物都是藉著他才得以存在的。
《NWT》：because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created through himand for him. Also, he is before all other things, and by means of him all other things were made to exist,
《和合本》：因為萬有都是靠他造的，無論是天上的，地上的，能看見的，不能看見的，或是有位的，主治的，執政的，掌權的，一概都是藉著他造的，又是為他造的，他在萬有之先，萬有也靠他而立。
問題何在
《新世界》非常不誠實地插入「其餘」（other）三次。一次在16節，兩次在17節。
篡改原因
於是「一概（萬物）都是藉著他…創造出來的」變成「其餘的萬物都是藉著他…創造出來的」。
原本的「一概都是藉著他造的」的含義，就是耶穌創造了一切被創造的。篡改後的含義就是：耶穌創造其餘，於是 就有可能是被造物之一！這正是耶和華見證人的教義——耶和華創造了耶穌，耶穌創造其餘萬物。

原文里，沒有一個字，可能翻譯為「其餘」。

上邊的翻譯本，都沒有「其餘」（other）這個字。就是不暗示耶穌可能是受造物之一。
