Then this guide is for you.[Last update: 7th March 3:10AM]

This guide is mainly for computers with newer generation multicore CPUs (i.e Intel i5/i7 4/5/6/7th generation, AMD Ryzen etc). I have not tried it with older setups, so I can"t say if it will be effective.

First of all, I"m not paid or sponsored by the developers of any of the applications I will be mentioning (Process Lasso, Autofixer, HWMonitor), I just prefer them because they"re either easy to use or given me the best results. I also put my full trust in them that they do not contain any sort of malicious software. All my download links goes directly to their official websites.

Truth be told I"ve never been a fan of "FPS boost" programs and stuff like that as I have the impression most of them are snake oil/smokescreen applications. With the correct settings, Process Lasso really did make a difference when it comes to getting stable fps.

Important note

When you install Process Lasso and used it for over 14 days, you will get a "buy now screen" similar to winzip whenever you start your computer, you can close it within 11 seconds and continue use it for free. Process Lasso is a freemium program and I encourage you to buy it if you find it useful, although I will show you how to keep Process Lasso core engine running without having the app running. This way you can skip the "buy now screen".

Preperation

Anyway, before we start, here"s some things I"d recommend doing first (the basic steps - hopefully is all you need).

• Install CS:GO on a SSD（把CSGO裝在固態硬碟上）
  This is HIGHLY recommended. I recommend Samsung 850 EVO or better. Mechanical harddrives (especially low RPM) can cause really bad stutters and unstable FPS.在HDD上裝CSGO會導致FPS不穩定

• Disable full-screen optimizations (Windows 10) 關閉Win10的全屏優化功能
  Full-screen optimization in Windows 10 forces the game to run in an optimized borderless full-screen mode and can cause variable or even locked framerates. It is recommended you disable it.
  UPDATE:I went back and tried enabling it again and got an FPS increase! (GTX1080)

  It can be worth coming back to this part after you are done with all other steps and enable it to see if you get an increase/decrease in FPS.(big thx dim4)（這是沒辦法時候的辦法，在GTX1080上標題這個設置會降低FPS，值得一試）

  Right clickcsgo.exe > Properties > Compatibility tab > tick the "Disable full-screen optimisations" box. (Enabled by default)

  It"s a great one-click tool for deactivating unneccessary windows background tasks like Superfetch, XBOX DVR and more through windows registry. It is 100% safe.

• Run Auto Mode, requires a computer restart

• Get rid of all old "performance" launch options（重要：把以前網傳的那堆優化啟動項去掉）
  I do not recommend launch options like-threads -high. They"re outdated and it has been confirmed by CS:GO devs on a recent reddit thread that the game is optimized to run better without them on modern setups.大部分網傳的優化啟動項都被取消或者證實沒用了，不要再加，可能會負優化遊戲。
  I use these launch options我只用這幾個：

-novid -no-browser -freq 144 -nojoy +fps_max 500 -tickrate 128

• -novid: disables Valve startup screen (saves you a couple of seconds)關閉開始動畫
  -no-browser: disables "message of the day" browser, used by servers for video advertisements關閉進服廣告
  -freq: use 60/75/120/144/240 depending on your monitor refresh rate (-refresh works also)鎖刷新率

  -nojoy: disables joypad support (frees up some RAM usage)關閉搖桿介面，節約內存

  +fps_max 999: disables FPS cap (main menu will be capped at 120fps, maps load faster this way)取消遊戲內FPS上限（逗比君有不同看法，鎖300上限也可以，在FPS夠高的情況，更穩定的FPS比更高但波動的FPS要更好）
  -tickrate 128: forces 128 tick on private servers (playing against bots, with friends, training maps etc) 單機128tick
  -nod3d9ex (disables d3d9ex, can improve FPS on older systems and faster alt-tabbing, for me it got worse) 關閉d3d9ex，而且可以更快alt+tab切回桌面，個別人會降低FPS

• Autoexec/config commands 建議的控制台參數，可以無腦copy進config，問題不大

m_rawinput "1" // (enables raw hardware input for mouse, disables all software filtering, acceleration, post-processing etc)
joystick "0" // (disables joystick support, mandatory command for playing on faceit servers)

• Bandwidth rates (for "rate" command) rate設置，大家都統一啟動項-rate 786432就好了
  0.5 Mbps - rate 62500

  1.0 Mbps - rate 125000

  1.5 Mbps - rate 187500
  1.57 Mbps - rate 196608 (default rate)
  2.0 Mbps - rate 250000
  2.5 Mbps - rate 312500
  3.0 Mbps - rate 375000
  3.5 Mbps - rate 437500
  4.0 Mbps - rate 500000
  4.5 Mbps - rate 562500
  5.0 Mbps - rate 625000

  5.5 Mbps - rate 687500

  6.0 Mbps - rate 750000
  6.2 Mbps and above - rate 786432 (max rate)

• Download the latest GPU drivers for your graphics card 把顯卡驅動更新到最新

  If you are having trouble with your current drivers, I recommend doing a clean uninstall using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)

• Disable Integrated/internal graphics in BIOS (Intel)關閉Intel核芯顯卡
  This will put less stress and keep your CPU cooler as long as you have a dedicated graphics card.Because you have made sure the monitor is plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard, right

• Disable Hardware Acceleration in Discord（Discord overlay工具，感興趣可以一看）
  If you use Discord overlay, turn off hardware acceleration by clicking the cogwheel ? (App Settings) >Appearance>Hardware Acceleration

• Get rid of dust inside your computer給電腦清灰，作用很重要
  Dust can cause the CPU fans to run at low speeds and make your CPU to throttle (drastically degrades its performance when it reaches high temperatures). Make sure all the fans inside your computer are clean of dust. Use a can of gas duster to clean your computer.
  DO NOT use a vaccum cleaner, it can cause electrostatic discharge and destroy your computer components!!

Process Lasso（一個優化工具，較為複雜，有動手能力的自己看看）

Now, download Process Lasso free version and install it. (Works on both Windows 7 and 10)

This program will help CS:GO utilize as much CPU power as possible without harming your system. Source engine (CS:GO"s game engine) is heavily favoring CPU power for optimum performance.

Get it here[bitsum.com](64bit workstation version)(VAC safe)

I would not recommend using Process Lasso if you are using a laptop, unless you have a good external cooler (you can find cheap decent ones on ebay/amazon).

If you lose FPS following these steps it"s because your CPU is overheating. Fix your damn PC. I never go above 60C when playing CS with an overclocked CPU and it"s stable AF.

Open Process Lasso and go（電源選項-高性能）

Main>ProBalance enabled

Active power profile>Bitsum Highest Performance (or use Balanced for better energy efficiency when not playing)

Open CS:GO through Steam

While CS:GO and Process Lasso is running, you will seecsgo.exe [32]inside the program. Right click it and make sure"Classify as a High Performance process"is checked.

You will also see"Application power profile". Choose"Bitsum Highest Performance".

You can try this for other games too!

"Classify as a High Performance process" unparks CPU cores, makes sure the CPU is running at maximum frequency, stops background processes from interfering and puts csgo.exe on top of the priority list. "Bitsum Highest Performance" will make sure you have the lowest CPU latency possible.

Disable CPU 0 (optional)（關閉CPU的第一個核，csgo是個吃單線程性能的遊戲，喜歡拿第一個核往死里用。關了第一個核有可能你的CSGO會把負載往別的核上勻點，不一定好使）

One last thing you should at least try, deactivate CPU core 0 incsgo.exe [32]>CPU affinity (limit CPU use)>always>uncheck CPU 0.

Since CS:GO like to put heavy CPU load onto CPU 0 (the first CPU core), it can help getting more stable performance by deactivating it so it spreads out more evenly across all other cores. This can vary from different CPUs, sometimes there"s no noticeable change/have an opposite effect. Turn it back on if you are experiencing problems.

Restart CS:GO

Jump onto a server and see if there"s any difference. Great thing about Process Lasso is that it will automatically use these settings whenever you start up CS:GO, as long as you have its Core Engine running.

You can stop Process Lasso app from running at startup (and skip the buy now screen) but save all your settings you just did by going to

Options>General Settings>Reconfigure the way Process Lasso starts

Management Console Startup

Do not start at login

Core Engine Startup

Start at login for ALL users

Click "Next" then "Finish"

Hopefully this will give you a FPS boost/less FPS drops. I did all those things and it really did wonders for me on my higher-end setup. It"s running buttery smooth, never go below 300FPS on stacked FFA DM, 500FPS nonstop on brutalcs AIM (capped) and average 400-500FPS on 5v5. Before I"d have random stutters, sometimes drops down to 160FPS and just overall unsmooth mouse movement because of the fluctuating framerate (160-300fps).

I truly recommendCPUID HWMonitor[www.cpuid.com]for monitoring your CPU/GPU temps, frequencies, mainboard info etc. I use it all the time!

For AMD processorsHWiNFO[www.hwinfo.com]seem to be more accurate, so you should probably download that if you use AMD.

It also doesn"t require any install and the layout is customizable (you can even show temps in taskbar), which is great! It"s a really cool program for the advanced user.

When you click the .exe, choose "Sensors-only" to bring up the sensors screen. (big thx STAV3)

If you are losing bunch of FPS following this guide there"s 3 possible reasons why;如果你瘋狂掉幀，見下方原因：

• You"re not taking care of your computer; clean all your fans/reapply new thermal-paste/buy a new cooler. Your CPU is most likely overheating. You should also uninstall all your nifty download manager apps, cheeky keyloggers, lovely trojans and beneficial toolbars you found on Limewire 清灰、換散熱器、電腦可能過熱了。把亂七八糟的軟體卸載一下。
• Your PC is f"cked and belongs in the cemetery 電腦太舊該go die了

• Your PC is ancient and belongs in a museum
