Well, its complicated.

To begin with, most Americans are somewhat ignorant of other countries and barely have an opinion of neighboring countries like Canada and Cuba. So many Americans dont really ever think about China, and if they do they might confuse it with Japan or some other Asian nation. Most Americans far away from the big coastal cities have little contact with people from China, and may only have a vague stereotype of China taken from old martial arts movies or a Chinese-themed restaurant.

For those Americans that are a little more aware of China and global affairs, Chinas rapid rise as a global power is discussed regularly in the news. Americans do see stories about Chinese territorial disputes over areas of the E China Sea, or about the Chinese economy, the relaxation of the one-child policy, or Chinas growing demand for energy (which impacts US energy prices), or air pollution in Chinese cities.

So some Americans, particularly older ones, are wary and distrustful of China. Up until very recently some Americans considered Communist China to be a natural enemy of the American people and a threat to US strategic interests in E Asia (security of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, S Korea--defender of N Korea). And many older Americans who grew up during the Cold War, particularly during the Korean conflict, before Nixon and detente, probably continue to feel this way.

However among Americans that are genuinely interested in China, the vast majority are very fond of China, Chinese culture and history, and can draw inspiration from a long history of Sino-US friendship dating all the way back to the waning days of the Qing.

Also, you have to remember that in America, Chinese Americans are, on average, more well off than most other groups. So how you view Chinese people often says more about your own social class.

I dont know. I treat them like people.

America is so diverse that everyone is their own person. I dont see colors, I just see other people running around and pursuing their dreams or goals. What else do I need to see?

I personally think this is how the world should view other people. But then again, hey, live and learn.

1.非常聰明,但非常相信傳言;

2.凡事喜歡搶,從出生搶床位,到臨終搶墳地,從頭搶到尾;

3.在大事上能忍氣吞聲,但在小事上卻斤斤計較;

4.能通過關係辦成的事,絕不通過正當途徑解決;

5.計較的不是不公平,而是自己不是受益者;

6.動輒批判外界,卻很少反思自己;

7.自己爽不爽沒關係,反正不能讓別人爽;

8.不為朋友的成功歡呼,卻願為陌生人的悲慘捐助;

9.不為強者的堅持伸手,願為弱者的妥協流淚;

10.不願為執行規則所累,寧願為適應潛規則受罪;

11.不為大家的利益奮鬥,願為大家的不幸怒罵;
